The development of "God of War 4" PlayStation 4 game was reportedly started way back in 2013. The game was first revealed during the December 2014 Sony PlayStation Experience.
Back in 2014, it was announced that director Cory Barlog will once again take the helm in the creation and development of the upcoming PlayStation 4 video game. Barlog directed the first two installations of "God of War."
The 'God of War 4" PS4 game director also revealed that the upcoming video game will not just be a simple sequel of the hit video game franchise but will also serve as a soft reboot. The first footage of the upcoming video game for the PlayStation 4 was released during the June 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The "God of War 4" video game director also confirmed that the creation and development of the upcoming PS4 video game started way back 2013. This, coupled with the 10-minute footage shown during the 2016 E3 seem to confirm that the video game may already be nearing completion.
Video game companies usually feature short cinematic teaser trailers for their upcoming video game. This was not the case for "God of War 4" as the team behind the upcoming video game opted to feature a 10-minute footage of PlayStation 4 "God of War 4" gameplay.
With all the speculations surrounding the upcoming PS4 game, it will not be a surprise to see the "God of War 4" PS4 game during the upcoming 2017 E3 in June. Sony PlayStation is yet to announce its schedule for this year's E3.
