New iBooks exclusives are being promoted by Apple and to make things more interesting, George R.R, Martin shared his thoughts on the matter. As eBooks are now one of the hottest things to surround the web, the newest releases may just be the next best thing to purchase for cyber bookworms everywhere.
Author George R.R. Martin lends his voice to the already masterful "A Game of Thrones," with a few chosen lines from the piece. Apart from it, Martin iterated how reading is considerably valuable to many in the long run, along with the imagination running wild.
Martin stated care of Appleinsider, "There's a line in the books where I say, 'The reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who does not read lives only one,' and for me that's been true. The life of the imagination has made my own life much richer. It allows us to walk to the forests of the night, and see wonders and terrors. It's painted in broad strokes."
Furthermore, Martin clarified that "A Song of Ice and Fire" is his means of letting the readers get a glimpse of what transpires in his mind. In such case, the illustrations made through digital technology surely make the experience even more worthwhile, especially with the enhanced editions.
The author said that the aforementioned contains glossaries and background material, as well; making things quite easier in general for readers everywhere-not just for iBooks. In a nutshell, feats that readers may have a hard time comprehending can be clarified immediately with a simple tap.
The recent lineup of available eBooks in the iBooks Store started last September. "A Game of Thrones" is now being sold at $8.99. The succeeding "A Clash of Kings" was then launched by November and "A Storm of Swords" earlier in the month, with the latest editions given a price of $11.99 respectively.
There will be two more to look out for come February and March, entitled "A Feast for Crows" and "A Dance with Dragons." No rates have been given yet for the said eBooks for now.
