"Jurassic World 2" is currently being given media hype after how the first movie succeeded both in the box office and critically. Now, there is pressure on the team behind the sequel, with a lot of expectations riding on their backs. Even with the odds, the follow-up movie seems to grow stronger in terms of development despite the competition brewing around it.

One factor about the "Jurassic World" sequel is that fans are wondering about the tone of the movie will be like. The original film may have established a rather enthusiastic and family-friendly approach, despite the consistent deaths within the plot-but that may all change with the sequel.

According to recent interviews with "Jurassic World 2" director J.A. Bayona, fans can expect a rather dark twist surrounding the second installment, or the fifth in the entire "Jurassic" franchise. Bayona is known for his works such as "The Orphanage" and "A Monster Calls," both of which project the uncanny and eerie. The director further added that he pays his respects to Steven Spielberg and the previous director Colin Trevorrow, as they set a certain standard that needs to be backed up.

While the talk of tone is in order, the composer for "Jurassic World 2" was confirmed to be none other than Michael Giacchino, the same mind behind hit films as "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," "War for the Planet of the Apes," "Doctor Strange" and "Zootopia." The year has been very good to Giacchino, but he has more in store with "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "The Incredibles 2" lined up.

For the plot of "Jurassic World 2," the sequel will once again have Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as the lead actors. Jeff Goldblum will return to the sequel, as well. However, Sam Neill will no longer make an appearance. The second installment is expected be released by mid-July of 2018.
