Sony has officially announced the launch of Lara Croft Go during the opening ceremony of PSX 2016 just this month; it is now available in PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vista. Not only that, it is also made available on Steam for PC users starting last December 4.

Lara Croft Go is a popular puzzle game on mobile phones and since it was deemed successful and a great game, it paved the way for bigger screen versions. Square Enix Montreal developed this high-quality themed puzzle game, which was first released for iOS and Android in 2015. It received positive reviews from players and other critics for its well-thought and challenging puzzles, as well as simple and clean art style.

Lara Croft Go's transition to PC systems and PlayStation consoles is likely foreseen. Designed by Indie Studio Ko_oP, the PlayStation version released has a brand new expansion called Mirror of Spirits --- which includes new mechanics, puzzles, trophies, and achievements. In three months, the Mirror of Spirits chapter will start rolling out in other platforms, according to THE OTAKU'S STUDY.

Lara Croft Go is different from other Tom Raider games; it's a turn-based puzzle adventure about the iconic Lara Croft's new journey, who must use her intelligence and weapons as she enters dangerous abysses --- filled with artifacts, mystery, and hazards. The game is composed of seven chapters and 115 puzzles; players must defeat Lara's enemies, survive life-threatening traps and hindrances, and help Lara uncover the Queen Venom's myth.

Antoine Routon, co-creative and lead manager at Square Enix Montreal said, "We've partnered with the talented artists at KO_OP to deliver a new Lara Croft GO chapter all, while retaining the spirit of the Lara Croft franchise", according to Yibada.

This is not the first time Square Enix, the developer and publisher of Lara Croft Go, turned one of its mobile games into a PC game and a console game. The same with Lara Croft Go, Hitman Go also received both commercial and critical success on Android and iOS, thus its transition to the PlayStation ecosystem in February.
