Good news awaits all "Pokemon GO" players. Latest reports claimed that a slew of new exciting features such as new buddy system and the appearance of legendary birds are heading to "Pokemon GO" Generation 2.
The much-talked Gen 2 will surely host brand new features that will completely revamp the entire "Pokemon GO" experience. Many players are apparently eager to know more about Niantic Labs' plans for the game as it could probably incorporate the introduction of legendary Pokemon - Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno.
In the latest episode of Recode Decode's podcast, Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke teased their plans for "Pokemon GO." He revealed that the company giant is currently preparing a lot of things for the augmented reality game and that they will move forward with those plans once things simmer down.
"It's been a busy two months, so we're now happy that we're kind of stabilized and able to start being a little more thoughtful about the next set of features that we want to build," said Hanke.
Hanke then revealed that the team is planning to hold a few in-person live events that are open to all "Pokemon GO" players. He added that this type of events is one of the many natural ways to keep the augmented reality game fresh.
When asked if these events would be a venue to introduce some rare Pokémon, the Niantic Labs CEO, unfortunately, did not respond to the inquiry and simply proceeded onward to the next question.
Nonetheless, "Pokemon GO" players can expect the new Buddy and Trading System. It will reportedly permit players to pick their favorite Pokémon to become their buddy, instead of staying in a Poké Ball.
"Buddy Pokémon will appear alongside your Trainer avatar on your profile screen, adding helpful bonuses such as awarding Candy for walking together," the "Pokémon GO" development team said in a statement. "You'll also have the ability to change your Buddy Pokémon at any time."
With heaps of new exciting features coming, many fans cannot wait for the "Pokémon GO" Gen 2. Be sure to stay tuned here for more news and updates.
