Sony reportedly has an Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra in the works, which will apparently boast a massive 13-inch display, according to a new report.

Rumors have already been flying high recently in anticipation of two of the biggest annual trade shows - the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.

When it comes to Sony, recent leaks have tried to paint a picture of what to expect from the next-generation Xperia Z4 smartphone, which is expected to make an official debut at the CES or the MWC 2015.

If a new report out of China turns out to be accurate, however, Sony is also cooking up a large slate called the Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra. The information surfaced in a new report from Chinese publication PadNews, which claims that Sony is gearing up to unleash a 13-inch Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra with top-of-the-line specs.

According to the publication, the purported Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra will not only sport high-end specs, it will also boast something that's not present in any tablet launched so far. The leak suggests that the Z4 Tablet Ultra will feature a 12.97-inch Triluminos display with a high resolution of 2,840 x 2,400 pixels and pack a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, clocked at 2.86GHz and paired with a whopping 6GB of RAM (as unlikely as it may sound).

Other purported specs include 64GB of internal storage capacity, an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 1/2.3" Exmor RS sensor with an f/1.8 Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* lens, while a huge 12,100 mAh battery will keep things up and running. When it comes to size, the tablet reportedly measures 8.6mm in thickness.

While these specifications definitely sound exciting, however, keep in mind that it's all still in the rumor state at this point. All of the aforementioned specs are based solely on leaks and speculation, and may not prove to be accurate. Sony may indeed have an Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra in the works, but nothing is officially confirmed at this point.

As always in such cases, make sure to take all leaks, rumors and speculation with a hefty grain of salt. We'll keep you up to date as soon as we learn more in this regards.
