If you have your eyes set on the Google Nexus 5, the 32G White model is now in stock on Google Play and ready to ship in just 1 - 2 days.
Nexus devices are generally in high-demand because they come with high-end specs and features, stock Android, and affordable price tags unlocked. Moreover, the Nexus experience guarantees timely updates as soon as new Android versions are released, which means that Nexus devices receive updates before other gadgets.
Great demand, however, also means that it's not always easy to get the device you want when you want it. The whole Nexus 4 frenzy stands proof, as Google's flagship smartphone from last year was barely in stock. Both Google and LG were overwhelmed by demand and the Nexus 4 faced severe supply issues.
This year's Google flagship smartphone, the Nexus 5, stirred quite some waves as well, and has already shown signs of tightening supply. While Nexus smartphones are usually in extremely high demand shortly after their launch, Google currently has one Nexus 5 model shipping in just two days.
The 32GB White Nexus 5 now appears in the Google Play store as in stock and shipping in 1-2 days, considerably faster than the other models. This means that interested buyers could get it in time for Christmas.
The other models of the Nexus 5, meanwhile, are not as readily available. The 32GB Black Nexus 5 will not be leaving the warehouse until Dec. 11, and the 16GB White model is in the same situation. The 16GB Black model is even more delayed, as it might not ship until Dec. 13.
All of these models (16GB Black, White, and 32GB Black, White) are listed as in stock, but these dates may be pushed back even farther as more customers place their orders.
The new Google Nexus 5 from LG is one of the best smartphones around when it comes to high-end specs and affordability. As a reminder, the smartphone sports a 4.95-inch display with a full HD resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage capacity, and a 2,300 mAh battery. Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Nexus 5 also served as the launch vehicle for the latest Android 4.4 KitKat, launching as the first device to boast the new OS.
