The Nexus 5 is scheduled to have its official release this month and several leaked images from tech sites reveal its "final form." The latest pictures from AndroidPit shows that the new Nexus 5 will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a camera that sticks out, dual LED flash and a laser autofocus sensor. The picture shows the back of a supposedly white LG Nexus 5 with its rounded out edges and back panel.

So far, here's what the rumored specs will be:

Processor: Snapdragon 808

Screen: 5.2 inches 1920x1080 Quad HD display

Memory: 16/32 GB storage with 3GB RAM

Camera: 13 MP back camera; 5 MP front camera

Other features: Type C USB port, front facing speakers

The device is rumored to start at $399 and will start selling in October. There is also a good chance that it might start selling after its unveiling in September 29. Apart from the USB-C port, which will be a new standard among smartphones with the Android M, we see nothing exciting about the new LG Nexus. Google also announced that it would release another Nexus smartphone from Huawei and after seeing the lacklustered specs on this model, we're already looking forward to what Huawei would come up with.

What LG needs at this point is an identity that separates it from the slew of smartphone manufacturers. Acer is gearing towards amped up smartphones for mobile gaming, Huawei just beat Apple to the Force Touch race, Xiomi is the affordable Android iPhone and while LG still has the best smartphone displays, it can't claim superiority above any other brand. The smart wearable market isn't doing so well either.

Shortly after LG's Urbane Luxe release, it already became apparent that it's similar in functionality with the regular Urbane. Encasing a replaceable technology in 24-karat gold doesn't make much sense for tech-inclined buyers and it won't make much sense for the A-list crowd who would rather buy their gold watches from a premiere watch company. Will all this tie-up for LG somehow? Let's wait and see.
