Google's March Security Patch is now available for Pixel and Nexus devices. the latest update contains fixes for numerous vulnerabilities.

Users of Nexus and Pixel devices running on Android 7.1.1 can now download the latest March security patch. Aside from those devices, other Android-operated devices can also avail of the latest patch. The Google March Security patch did bring along significant features, however, it fixes 60 substantial issues and vulnerabilities.

The latest March Security patch, according to Google is composed of two security patch level strings. The security patch on March 1 resolved 21 issues, the March 5 build, on the other hand, resolved 39 issues. These security patch level strings offered their Android partners with the better chance to quickly fix a subclass of vulnerabilities that are alike on all Android devices, says 9to5google.

Google devices will receive the March 5 security patch level string. For devices made by other manufacturers, they will get the featured OEM-specific repairs.

Vulnerabilities most often vary from moderate to critical. The gravest among the vulnerabilities could potentially enable remote code execution when using email when browsing or use MMS. Google notes that at present, there are no complaints from customers being affected by the security issues mentioned.

The March security patch has brought along factory images and full OTA images for supported Nexus and Pixel devices. Google Pixel C running on Android 7.1.1 can download the N4F26T build (Factory Image; OTA). On the other hand, Google Pixel devices can get the NOF27B and NOF27C (Rogers) builds (Factory Image (2); OTA (2)).

Meanwhile, Pixel XL devices can download NOF27B and NOF27C (Rogers) (Factory Image (factory images0); factory images1 (factory images2)). While Nexus 5X and 6P users can get the N4F26T build, with 6P also getting NUF26N (Verizon). For Nexus 6 users, they can get NBD92D (ATT, 7.0.0), NBD92E (7.0.0), and N6F26U (7.1.1).
