Samsung has now officially released Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Note 2 owners in Canada. You can get the update via Samsung Kies or can download I317MVLBMA3 and install it manually on your device using Odin.

A few days ago, Samsung Canada had announced via Twitter and Facebook that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update would be pushed out from Feb. 6, and true to its word the software upgrade is now rolling out.

"Big Game Special Announcement: GALAXY Note II owners with national carriers will begin receiving the Multi Window and Chinese language support update (Android 4.1.2) on Wednesday. Thanks for your patience Samsung Nation," notes Samsung Mobile Canada's Facebook post.

The update is available for major Canadian carriers including Rogers, Bell, SaskTel, TELUS, and Virgin Mobile Canada. The Android 4.1.2 update may soon follow for other Canadian carriers as well.

The update brings the highly-touted Multi-Window View feature that enables multi-tasking to the Samsung phablet. As the name suggests, you open and operate two apps simultaneously after the update. The upgraded firmware will also bring with it support for both simplified and traditional Chinese language.

As the Galaxy Note 2 features a quad-core processor, the Multi-Window View feature is smooth and the transitions are seamless. The Multi-Window View coupled with the S Pen (stylus) make the phablet stand out from rest of the bigger smartphones available in the market.

Apart from the Multi-Window View, the update also brings a new notification panel that can be customized, a new lockscreen ink effect, and Swype-style keyboard.

Have you installed the Android 4.1.2 on your Galaxy Note 2 yet?
