Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners in Canada will be delighted to learn that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, which had been delayed from January to February, is finally set to arrive on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Samsung Canada announced the release date of the Android 4.1.2 update, via a Twitter post on Feb. 3.

"TheNextBigThing arrives Wed for GALAXY Note II owners as we begin rolling out the Multi Window & Chinese language support update," tweeted Samsung Canada.

Additionally, Samsung Canada also took to its official Facebook page to confirm the imminent arrival of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, which brings with it the Multi-Window View feature and support for Chinese language.

"Big Game Special Announcement: GALAXY Note II owners with national carriers will begin receiving the Multi Window and Chinese language support update (Android 4.1.2) on Wednesday. Thanks for your patience Samsung Nation," notes Samsung Mobile Canada's Facebook post.

The Multi-Window View feature brings multi-tasking to the Samsung phablet, letting users open and operate two apps simultaneously. The upgraded firmware will also bring with it support for both simplified and traditional Chinese language.

Currently, it is not known which of the "national carriers" will be the first to push out the Android 4.1.2 update. We'll just have to wait and see which carrier i.e. Bell, TELUS, Rogers, Videotron, SaskTel, Mobilicity, or WIND is the first to roll out the much-awaited update for the Galaxy Note 2.
