Almost all of the features and specs of Sony's latest flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, has already been revealed. However, new reports are now showing what looks to be the actual benchmarking scores of the device. Being a flagship smartphone, Sony has placed the latest and greatest from Qualcomm into their new offering, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. It goes without saying that the results will be quite high and at par with the other flagship smartphones sporting the same processor.

As reported by Phone Arena, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium showed some impressive scores on GeekBench, with its single core score at 1943 and its multi-core score at 5824. Strangely enough, Sony might have done a little tweaking to the device's processor or perhaps other aspects of its device as the scores is a bit slower in the multi-core score when compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8, which also sports the same chip.

However, GSM Arena reveals that a 5 percent performance decrease is really not noticeable in this category as the speeds are actually more than enough to handle even the most demanding tasks. The lowered down chips may have been a necessary decision to boost the device's battery life. There is also the possibility that the device used in the test might have been using a pre-production software or perhaps other factors were also at play.

Sony's upcoming flagship will be sporting a 5.5-inch Triluminous 4K display and running the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. One of the device's highlights is its amazing 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera that is capable of capturing slow-motion video at 960 frames per second. The device will also come with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of expandable storage, a 3,230 mAh battery, and an IP68 dust and waterproof certification. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is expected to be available around the end of the month and will be priced somewhere around $834.
