With the world focused on the release of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, somewhere far away, OnePlus is up to something new. Samsung's spotlight might have overshadowed the OnePlus 4 or 5, but thanks to a new leak, it's back.

OnePlus 4 or 5?

Smartphone tipsters have been calling the next phone either 4 or 5 after the brand, why? Since the company is a Chinese manufacturer, it's possible that it will skip a number 4.

In China, number four is a universal sign of bad luck, which may force the company to name the phone as OnePlus 5. Another theory suggests that the OnePlus 3T has already taken the fourth gen spot. Which means that the company's next smartphone will have the "5" moniker.

Premium Specs Inspired From The OnePlus 3T

Premium is a word often tagged with global giants like Samsung and Apple. Surprisingly, OnePlus is giving a run for its money with its new flagship smartphone.

The next generation OnePlus 5 will take inspiration from the crowd favorite One Plus 3T. In its aim to go toe to toe with today's big brands like the Apple iPhone, it will reportedly have high-end specs.

India based website mysmartprice.com has already listed the phone's possible specifications. According to the site, the OnePlus 5 will have a Snapdragon 835 processor with an Adreno 540 GPU.

The phone will reportedly have 128GB of storage that's expandable via a microSD card. Load screens will also be smooth considering that it's rumored to have 8GB of RAM.

Premium Camera

Google's Pixel smartphones were the best with how great their cameras are. So far, OnePlus would also like to challenge Pixel's throne with a set of powerful cameras.

Reportedly, the phone will have a 23MP rear snapper coupled with a 16MP front camera. The company has not released any details to confirm the alleged specs.

Possible Release Date

According to Mirror, the OnePlus 5 could possibly hit the markets between June or July 2017. If this is accurate, the phone might be in time to join summer selfies and colorful rave parties.

So far, there hasn't been any official statement coming from OnePlus, Stay tuned. Never Settle.
