Samsung is on the verge of launching the Galaxy S8 and its larger variant, the Galaxy S8+, and a torrent of leaks have been pouring in endlessly over the past few months, leaving very little to the imagination.

The internet is brimming with unconfirmed reports, which are likely to go either way. Lining with this, recently surfaced reports seem to spill the beans about the 'Change screen resolution' feature. Aside from that, fresh reports comprise new pictures that show the Galaxy S8 from different angles, a video teaser that center on the device's iris scanning, images of the internal battery and the retail box.

Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Leaked Images

Earlier this week, tech tipster Ice Universe took to his Twitter handle (@UniverseIce) to share a bunch of images of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ giving us a brief glimpse of the device's front and an unusual screen resolution changing feature. If the recently surfaced image is anything to go by, the new Galaxy S smartphones will offer three options for screen resolution including HD+ (720x1480), FHD+ (1080x2220), and QHD+ (1440x2960).

Those who prefer smaller icons and like to fit more on a screen can go for the default QHD+ resolution. Although unique, this is not the first time Samsung will be adding this feature to its flagship device. The screen resolution changing feature has been spotted on earlier versions too.

Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Retail Box Leaked

Aside from that, Ice Universe also posted images of the retail box of the Galaxy S8+. It's worth noting that the larger variant seems to sport the symbol '+' instead of the word 'Plus.'

Furthermore, the retail box hints at the inclusion of a pair of headphones, a Micro-USB connector, and a charging adapter. Previous leaks have indicated that the new Galaxy S smartphones will come bundled with AKG-made earbuds; however, the leaked retail box doesn't seem to confirm that.

Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Batteries

Shreds of information about the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ batteries have surfaced online in the form of leaks from Slashleaks. The battery images suggest that the smartphones will come with 3000mAh and 3500mAh batteries as previous rumors have been indicating.

If these leaks proved to be true, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will pack the same battery as the Samsung Galaxy S7, while the Samsung Galaxy S8+ will sport a smaller battery capacity than its precursor, the Galaxy S7 Edge, which came with a 3600mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Teaser Video

Samsung's recently rolled out teaser hints at iris scanning potentiality. The new teaser shows a man who is standing in a green field, and as soon as the camera pans out showing the garden's aerial view, it forms the shape of an eye.

Now, tech pundits believe this could be an indication that Samsung is gearing up to introduce iris scanning on the Galaxy S8. The feature was also attached to the Galaxy Note 7. You can watch the teaser here.
