Samsung's recently launched Galaxy Tab S3 cemented the company's plans to take on Apple's 9.7-inch iPad Pro, a tablet capable of converting into a compelling productivity device, complete with Apple Pencil and a Smart Keyboard. However, it was unclear exactly how aggressive the South Korean tech firm would be in the pro-tablet battle.

The ill-timed Best Buy listing that surfaced online a couple of days ago proved to be true, after all. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will indeed come bearing a $599.99 price tag in the U.S.
Samsung made the price official on Thursday. Lining with this, the launch details also seem to have found their way on the internet.
The Galaxy Tab S3 will be available for pre-order starting Friday, March 17; interestingly, pre-orders for LG G6 kicks off at the same time. Samsung's new tablet will be up for grabs on March 24 i.e. next Friday.
Much to the delight of users planning to be productive, the device comes with a Pogo keyboard accessory. However, in order to get their hands on the keyboard, they need to shell out an extra $129.99 when it becomes available next Friday, AndroidAuthority reported.
Aside from select retailers including Amazon and Best Buy, the company's own online store will be taking pre-orders. Buyers can choose between a black or silver tinted Galaxy Tab S3.

The Galaxy Tab S3 sports a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2,048x1,536 pixels resolution and HDR (High Dynamic Range) support. The tablet features AKG-tuned quad speakers and ships with the revolutionary S Pen in the box, which is deemed as a productivity tool along with the aforesaid Pogo keyboard, according to a post on Samsung Newsroom.
Under the hood, the Tab S3 packs a powerful Snapdragon 820. The device has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. It comes with a robust 6,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
