"Game of Thrones" season 7 will most likely air in July 2017. The epic series recently launched its latest teaser.
The newest season of the highly anticipated series "Game of Thrones" will possibly air in July 2017. It will once again get fans to visit the unforgiving and icy world from the mind of George R.R. Martin. One of the show's stalwart actors Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) has hinted about the upcoming show's airdate. In an interview with The Independent, he was quoted saying that he has been disappointing several people around the world because it was supposed to release in April and now July. It is a public knowledge that "Game of Thrones" season 7 will be delayed than its earlier launched window, however, a July release is something new.
The July release date would be in line with "Game of Thrones" season 7's overdue production. The filming for Season 7 started later than usual due to some weather-related reasons. It was previously reported that Showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss wanted to film in some grim, gray weather, even in some of the show's sunlit locations, because winter has finally come as Season 7 commences.
In that same interview, the actor also confirmed that there would be a special event to mark the season premiere. In addition, he confirmed as well that "Game of Thrones" season as previously speculated will indeed have seven episodes. Cunningham also said production would begin on Season 8 in September of 2017.
Meanwhile, the latest promo video was launched for the upcoming "Game of Thrones" season 7. It is simply a shot of a hand holding a sword called the Oathkeeper. A rare Valyrian steel weapon that was previously given to Brienne of Tarth for a special mission. The trailer is a 12 seconds footage that showed the text, "Game of Thrones" Season 7. It was being shown on HBO in between their primetime shows.
