"Game of Thrones" has become quite a popular name throughout the many forms of media. Games, for one, are no exception, as mods are a recent trend that make titles rather interesting.
According to Winter is Coming, some players have gone on to make their own rendition of the "Game of Thrones" world onto similar games with the same context. A recognizable one is that of YouTuber Kilian Experience, who recently downloaded a mod for the medieval title "Mount & Blade." After publishing a video of himself playing the said title and mods, players can get a glimpse of the Westeros-inspired environment.
The same goes for another clip made for the Creative Assembly title "Seven Kingdoms: Total War," under the "Total War" saga. With how the "Game of Thrones" mod looks, it seems to be more accurate, taking the designs to the shields, sigils and outfits altogether. Even the modder's take on Jon Snow was considerably precise, alongside the up-to-par violence delivery.
The "Seven Kingdoms: Total War" garnered 20 distinct armies over eight Westeros divisions, offering 35 generals to choose which are still expected to produce more in the future, as a previous report noted. Keen-eyed fans may see Mance Rayder and Tormund Giantsbane, regardless whether it was a deliberate move from the creator or not.
"Game of Thrones" was first aired back in 2011 and runs up to the present. The show's all-star cast carries with it a massive following as well, including the likes of Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen). One game that actually carries the concept of the series with it is Telltale Games' "Game of Thrones," known for its extreme decision making and on-point storytelling.
