"Timeless" Season Finale have just ended but NBC still keeps mum on renewing the show. Despite this, a lot of viewers expect there will be a second season and the co-creator Shawn Ryan had revealed his plans for the future of the show. In the road to "Timeless" Season Finale, the show took off with the premise of an action-adventure drama that follows the journey of a scientist, a soldier and history professor as they go through time to prevent a mystery criminal from spreading evil. Included in the cast were Abigail Spencer, Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Malcolm Barrett and Matt Lanter.

"Timeless" Season Finale ended with a cliffhanger, setting up for what is next in Season 2, as revealed by Shawn Ryan in Deadline. He said they have plans for the best way to close Season 1 in order to set a new dynamic for the second season. He also revealed they wanted Garcia Flynn journey to completion but more of him will be expected, in case a second season comes to light. Still, the director said it was a wrap-up for the first season but is definitely a touch point for what will come after.

Even before the "Timeless" Season Finale, Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan have been working to come up with a good pitch for a second season they will present to NBC on April. However, they are not in a hurry as they would like to assess the first season first prior to committing to a second season. However, a bit of a teaser to the second season is that it will be involving heroes coming from the past to prevent perversion in the present, changing it too much.

Aside from that, Jiya's character is still in limbo for the next installment. Problems plague his relationship with Rufus. Kripke also said that events in the time ship would head to a new direction and Jiya was not meant to be there so she would be experiencing some strange things that points out she should be living in the present to be checked by a doctor. She will be trapped in two worlds and her relationship with Rufus might come to a sudden end.

No announcement has come from NBC if they will be renewing the show, even after "Timeless" Season Finale last night. For now, it is one of the shows that is involved in a lawsuit and ratings have gone down since its premiere last October. For now, here are some highlights of the finale.
