"Rock Band VR" is one of the biggest games coming to Oculus Rift. The game is developed by Harmonix and will be coming this March. Notably, pre-orders for the game has already begun.
VR enthusiasts can pre-order the game on Amazon where it's priced at $69.99. Pre-ordering "Rock Band VR" is a good choice for those who wants to avail a guitar controller. The said controller is part of the bundle wherein players get the PC digital copy of the game according to Hawtwired.
"Rock Band VR" is a major revamp of the rhythm game franchise created by Harmonix. However, instead of note-matching, the game is more about improvisation. This was first announced by the company in 2015. In mid-2016, a prototype was released, but it was in an early state.
More about the details of "Rock Band VR" have also been released including a 60-song track list. Plus, there's a "classic mode" that has the original game's note highway. Previously, Harmonix hinted that they would make the VR game backwards-compatible with older hardware as reported by The Verge.
To play "Rock Band VR," players will need their Oculus Rift headset and a PC that is compatible with the device. The Oculus Touch is also important. This is a motion controller that makes it possible for the game's plastic guitar to turn into virtual reality. This happens by using a small connector that is available on all Oculus Touch units. They only have to connect their guitars with the Touch to make it work.
"Rock Band VR" will be officially released on March 23. The guitar included in the bundle is compatible with PC-based Oculus Rift headsets and "Rock Band 4" which is available on PS4 and Xbox One. As of now, pre-ordering the title is still live.
