Rachel Lindsay is the next Bachelorette, thanks to "Bachelor" blogger Reality Steve who first leaked the news. However, the announcement of Lindsay's casting on "The Bachelorette" Season 13 could apparently spoil the finale of Nick Viall's season. Now that Lindsay is set to star as the next Bachelorette, does it mean that Viall will not pick her?

The 31-year-old attorney from Dallas Texas who is currently in the running for this season of "The Bachelor" with Viall will be the first Black American to cast as the lead in the long-running reality TV show. As formally and officially announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live, fans will still see Lindsay on Season 13 of "The Bachelorette." A report by Variety detailed how "The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison dropped the announcement in the show where the first Black American Bachelorette made an appearance too.

Referring to the announcement as dramatic, Harrison claimed that Lindsay absolutely stood out among many of the outstanding women. Kimmel, of course, took some part in this overwhelming event for Lindsay as he was the one who handed the lady a red rose. It can be noted that it is the first time that ABC announced the new cast for the next cycle before the current season wraps up.

The tradition is to name the new star following the finale of the current cycle. And now that Lindsay is named to be the star of "The Bachelorette" Season 13, is it safe to say that she will not be Viall's final pick for the current season? That's what fans are reportedly asking about on Twitter.

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Viall talked about the amazing potential of Rachel Lindsay in "The Bachelorette" season 13. Viall told to host Ellen DeGeneres that they had good chemistry from the very first night. "I'm very excited for her. I think she's going to be an amazing Bachelorette," he added.

In line with this, it's interesting to see how the announcement of the new Bachelorette will affect the ratings of "The Bachelor" finale. "The Bachelorette" Season 13 air date is set on May 22 as per USA Today. Viall's season, on the other hand, is still airing every Monday on ABC.
