"How to Get Away with Murder" viewers met a shocking discovery that Nate is the person who signed the order to move Wes' body to another morgue. Why Nate was framed for it will lead to a darker plot and another mystery to uncover in the following episodes as teased by actor Billy Brown who gives life to the character.
In an interview with E! Online, Brown claimed that "How to Get Away with Murder" will take a darker path with more treachery. The situation Nate is in right now will be difficult and challenging and but there's more to come.
Being framed for something he didn't do, Nate is determined to fight and do all he can to get to the bottom of it. With no plans of succumbing to the enemy's plan to derail him, the detective is set to find motivation to clear his name and find the culprit behind everything.
Meanwhile, the actor said that it was no longer a surprise for him to see his character be framed for something like this. He is aware that he cannot trust everybody around him and personally suspects Atkins and Denver as per an interview with TV Guide.
Brown also claimed that he has his own motives apart from investigating Wes' death and naming the latter's killer. With his plans in mind, no one could demotivate him and stop whatever he needs to do, reportedly.
For a quick recap of what happened to Nate on the last episode of "How to Get Away with Murder," Laurel was very depressed and sad about Wes' death and decided to see his remains. However, the morgue representative refused her wish, which led Laurel to seek Nate's help. Nate then allowed Laurel to finally see Wes' body but to their surprise, the body was not there.
"How to Get Away with Murder" then ended with a cliffhanger where the D.A. questioned Nate why he asked Laurel to see the remains when he is the one who asked for Wes' body to be transferred. This is a twist viewers should investigate on so don't forget to catch the next episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" on Thursday at 10 p.m on ABC.
