"Quantico" has not received a green light for Season 3 and recent updates claimed that a renewal may be canceled because of low ratings. Meanwhile, actress Priyanka Chopra who plays as Alex in the show teased that her character Alex could develop another kind of relationship with Owen (Blaire Underwood).
"Quantico" Season 2 ratings, unfortunately, met a downfall in the past few weeks that led to a prediction that ABC would not get another season. Following its shift from Sunday air date to every Monday in hopes of increasing viewers, the ratings still did not meet the mark.
The average of "Quantico" Season 2 ratings is only at 0.76 rating under the adults 18-49 category, First Post reported. Reports also claimed that the series can no longer revive its ratings, which is a hindrance for a Season 3 renewal.
But before "Quantico" Season 2 ends, fans might see Alex and Owen develop another level of relationship. Chopra said that both of them currently treat each other as equals but there could be something more than that, The Global Dispatch reported. Chopra made it clear, however, that their relationship has not turned to romance yet.
Though "Quantico" is speculated to end with Season 2, it will not be a career ender for Chopra. The actress just landed a role in the remake of "Baywatch" where she will play as one of the film's antagonist.
The Bollywood turned Hollywood actress will cast alongside Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson. The movie adaptation is an action-comedy, however, so Chopra is expected to be lighter and less serious in the film unlike her role in "Quantico."
"Quantico" Season 2 is still airing every Monday on ABC at 10/9c. Chopra's upcoming film "Baywatch," on the other hand, will hit theaters on May 26 this year.
