"Splatoon 2" Global Testfire Event for Nintendo Switch is set. The event will only be one weekend with a six one-hour demo block.

The original game, "Splatoon," got its initial hype driven in part by its Global Testfire. Now, "Splatoon 2" is taking the same route.

According to Nintendo, those who buy the Nintendo Switch system will not only get access to an extraordinary new video game system, but will also be able to participate in a special "Splatoon 2" preview. Moreover, owners with Internet access can download a demo version of the "Splatoon 2" game that will enable them to fight against opponents around the world in the "Splatoon 2" Global Testfire event, says PVP Live.

Private Battle Spectator View

Aside from the "Splatoon 2" Global Testfire event, "Splatoon 2" producer Hisashi Nogami also confirmed a new way for players to follow the action when the game launches later in the year. A mode will give players a unique understanding into squid behaviors and strategy called Private Battle Spectator View. This development will allow up to two non-players to participate in a Private Battle as camera operators to observe all the action from multiple angles.

LAN Play

In addition to the "Splatoon 2" Global Testfire event, a new feature called LAN Play will be added to "Splatoon 2." This feature will enable up to 10 docked systems, eight players and two spectators, to connect via wired LAN. This new feature will allow players to create local Private Battle tournaments without the need of an internet connection. Local wireless play is ideal for regular gaming get-togethers, but LAN Play is where it is at when you want to organize a serious tournament event with your fellow players.
