The latest information about the upcoming "Toukiden 2" reveals the game will be available on March 21, 2017. Here is what we know so far about the game's story, characters and gameplay, among others.

According to Gameranx, fans of Omega Force's "Toukiden: The Age of Demons" video game which previously launched in 2014 will be happy to know that a sequel is still in the works. Dubbed as "Toukiden 2," the sequel to the popular video game, has not received much information until recently. Publisher Koei Tecmo recently revealed a number of details about "Toukiden 2."

Gameplay and Story

"Toukiden 2" takes place in a peaceful village of Mahoroba where the town is given the duty to protect the Shrine Maiden Kagura. However, several Mahoroba's rival clans threaten the safety of Kagura and the town. The Holy Mount releases its own force of Slayers in order to maintain peace and protect its town.

The presence of the Slayers, however, only increased the tension and the threat to the town, until a mysterious Slayer surfaced. The new Slayer brings with him the possibility of establishing peace between clans or igniting the fuse that could send the clans into an all-out-war.

Weapons

Fans of the "Toukiden 2" will be pleased to find out that there will be a number of new weaponry customized to each player's combat style. Some of these customizable weapons include swords, spears, knives, gauntlets, chain-sickles, bows, clubs, polearms, and rifles. Every weapon can be personalized and boosted with the support of Mitama, the freed souls of fallen heroes.

Moreover, in"Toukiden 2," gamers can summon Oni to either fight for the player through direct attacks or as a means of distraction. Mitama can be freed by defeating large Oni. Only three can be equipped at a time and these will offer bonuses to attributes like attack, defense, speed, healing, and control, says Wccftech.

The upcoming Koei Tecmo game "Toukiden 2" is set to release on March 21. It will be available for the PlayStation 4, PS Vita and PC platforms.
