"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 is slated to see the return of the villainous Captain Cold once again in its Episode 16. Moreover, viewers will be thrilled to know that the finale is all set and it will air at an earlier timeslot so fans in the United States shouldn't have to stay up a little late to watch how the season wraps up.
A recent report by Yahoo News revealed that Wentworth Miller who plays the role of Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold will be back on "Legends of Tomorrow" Season Episode 16. The news came following the release of some images where the actor was seen at the filming location of "LOT" in Vancouver.
As earlier announced by "LOT" EP Marc Guggenheim, the shooting for "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 16 titled "Doomworld" will run from Feb. 1-10. Surprisingly, Miller made an appearance in the last days of filming with co-actor Dominic Purcell who plays as Mick Rory.
For this reason, fans were quick to speculate that "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 Episode 16 is where Captain Cold will officially return to his real self. It can be recalled that the last time viewers saw him this season was during the midseason finale where he was a mere hallucination of Mick.
Now that Captain Cold is set to come back, fans should expect to see a villainous Snart this time. Miller already made it clear during this year's Television Critics Association's press tour that his character's return will be different on "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2.
Instead of an ally to the Legends, the actor claimed that he thinks Leonard will become a villain. This is backed up by several reports in the last year that he will become part of the new team of enemies called the Legion of Doom.
Meanwhile, fans may know by now that "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 will now have 17 episodes from an initial order of 13 episodes. And to make things more exciting, the network tweaked its schedule a little bit to highlight its finale as per Comicbook.
"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 finale air date is set on April 4 instead of March 28. It will take over the timeslot of "The Flash" on the said day at 8 p.m. on The CW.
