Before we get to see the return of our time traveling heroes in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2, we got a chance to see Wentworth Miller's Captain Cold return in Mick Rory's imagination in the winter finale. But it seems that won't be that last time we'll see the mischievous character. Actor Wentworth Miller reveals some information about what to look forward to in his return.
"My sense is that if Snart comes back into the storyline via his present day incarnation, then he's a straight up villain. He hasn't gone on that first season Legends of Tomorrow journey yet, so when we meet him again -- quote unquote alive in 2017," said Miller in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Leonard Snart, AKA Captain Cold, will join the Legion of Doom which includes Eobard Thawn, AKA Reverse Flash, as the leader, Arrow villains Damien Darhk and Malcolm Merlyn, according to Arrowverse.
Miller and went on to say "expect fireworks" between the four of the bad guys this season, as Captain Cold does not take orders from any one. "I imagine that he's going to be much like when we first met him the first season on 'The Flash,' which I'm looking forward to, because it means I get to arc to a completely different place," Miller explained.
When the "Legends of Tomorrow" team was assembled by Rip Hunter, Snart was recruited together with Mick Rory, or Heat Wave. Somehow their story arc in season 2 places them on the opposite side when the two see each other gain.
"I think he'd be disappointed. I also think some of that disappointment would steam from being triggered by watching his former buddy, a hard criminal, show a softer, more heroic side," Miller said about Captain Cold's reaction to his partner-in-crime's change of heart. The second half of "Legends of Tomorrow" airs on January 24, 2017 on The CW Network. For the meantime you can watch the trailer below.
