Hit first-person shooter RPG "Destiny" is scheduled to receive a major hotfix this coming Valentine's Day. "Destiny" update patch 2.5.0.2 is slated to be released this coming Tuesday, Feb. 14.

The "Destiny" update patch 2.5.0.2 will primarily be concerned weapon balancing. The updates that will be introduced with the new patch came from player feedback and in-studio testing.

DESTINY PATCH 2.5.0.2: CHANGES IN THE PRIMARY WEAPONS

Hand Cannons

The base range of hand cannons is reduced by five meters. This base range reduction will affect damage drop off and aim assistance.

The initial first shot accuracy of hand cannons will also be significantly increased. Players will still have to pace their shots as no changes for bloom on spamming shots were made.

Auto Rifles

The critical multiplier of Auto Rifles is increased from 1.25 to 1.3. The in-air accuracy of Auto Rifles is also increased.

Scout Rifles

High Caliber Rounds will already affect Scout Rifles with the introduction of "Destiny" patch 2.5.0.2. The in-air accuracy of Scout Rifles will also be increased.

Pulse Rifles

The Clever Dragon and Grasp of Malok will see a reduction of 1 frame on their rate of fire. The magazine size of the weapons will also be reduced by 6.The High Caliber Rounds for Pulse Rifles are also altered to inflict less flinch.

DESTINY PATCH 2.5.0.2: CHANGES IN THE SECONDARY WEAPONS

Shotguns

All aim assistance for shotgun when hip firing will be removed. The shotgun will also have a reduction in mid-air accuracy and its magnetism will be significantly decreased.

All precision damage from shotguns will also be removed with "Destiny" patch 2.5.0.2. This is with the exception of Chaperone.

To make up for lack of critical damage in the Frontier, the shotgun damage will be increased by 20% in the PvE. The decrease in agility whenever a player is holding a shotgun will also be removed with "Destiny" update patch 2.5.0.2.
