Bungie recently released "Destiny HotFix 2.5.0.2," and players have had about a week to test out the new changes. The end of February brings in another opportunity to test Destiny's new combat changes under fire: Iron Banner is returning for another full week. Starting February 28 until March 7, this limited-time multiplayer event will be in full swing, and it promises some pretty sweet Sniper Rifles, Hand Cannons, and armor for players to collect.
'Destiny' Iron Banner
The week-long event was officially announced in Bungie's latest blog post. Iron Banner, game mode Supremacy, starts February 28 at 10AM PT and ends on March 7, 1AM PT. The rewards this time around include new Hunter, Titan, and Warlock armor. You can check them out --- plus the new Sniper Rifles and Hand Cannons --- on Bungie's blog.
The post also mentions the updates implemented through the recent HotFix 2.5.0.2. They focus particularly on Shotguns, and how Guardians may find things different now that shells aren't as frequent. The recent HotFix also nerfed Shotguns air accuracy, magnetism, and precision damage. You can check out the patch notes here for what else has been changed.
Xur's Location, February 24 to 26
The Agent of the Nine is back with more exotics, and you can find him in the Tower, in the hall. According to Daily Star UK, the Rise of Iron patch notes mention Xur's exotics have been increased to 350 Light. He also has Legacy Boot Engrams now, plus two Exotic Weapon Ornaments every week for Silver Dust. With that said, here's what Xur's selling this week:
Hawkmoon (23 strange coins)
Claws of Ahamkara (13 strange coins)
Celestial Nighthawk (13 strange coins)
Twilight Garrison (13 strange coins)
Helmet Legacy Engram (29 strange coins)
You can also get an Exotic Shard for 7 strange coins and Mote of Light for 2. On that note, there's been radio silence on Bungie's part regarding any new "Destiny 2" info. However, this week's blog post ends with a bit of a tease; the next weekly "Destiny" blog post could contain a roadmap of what's coming for "Destiny" in the month of March. Looks like we'll have to wait and see.
