Fans may just see a "GTA 5" Nintendo Switch version. Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has shown interest in the soon to be released Nintendo Switch. This interest has fueled rumors that the video game company may introduce more of its games to the hybrid game console, this may include "GTA 5"
The Nintendo Switch hybrid game console is about to hit the store shelves and consumers' homes on March 3. The continuing interest for the new game console as proved by it being consistently sold out in major retailers has cause video game developers and publishers to consider developing games for the Nintendo Switch.
One of Take-Two Interactive's subsidiaries, 2K Games has recently announced that it will be releasing its upcoming "NBA 2K18" for the Nintendo Switch. This it the only Take-Two game title confirmed for the Nintendo Switch so far.
According to GameStop, Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick expressed the company's excitement about the Switch in a recently held earnings call. Zelnick was also quoted saying, "we're supporting the platform."
Though there are still no clear indications that a "GTA 5" Nintendo Switch version will be released, seeing the popular Rockstar Games' title in Nintendo Switch is possible. Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two, has already voiced out that they are intrigued by the new hybrid game console.
The "intrigue" may have played a role in the decision to launch "NBA2K18" Nintendo Switch version. According to Mic, seeing another Take-Two video game title, possibly "GTA 5," may depend on how well NBA 2K18" does on the Switch.
Take-Two may just release a "GTA 5" Nintendo Switch version if the company realizes its target profit from the "NBA2K18" Nintendo Switch. A "GTA 5" Nintendo Switch version will combine one of Take-Two's more profitable video game titles with what is probably the hottest video game console today.
