Bethesda's "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" has been around for a long time. Since its release in November 2011, the game has seen major changes over the years. Recently, the company behind the hit game has just released a Special Edition.

One of the coolest weapons in Skyrim is the "Ebony Blade." It is a two-handed weapon found in Whiterun Hold's Dragonsreach. According to Fandom, the blade resembles the Akaviri Dai-Katana. It is a Daedric artifact that belongs to Mephala. Players that would want to get the item just have to follow some simple steps that are courtesy of YouTuber Camelworks (Note: Players that are above level 20 are the only one allowed for the quest)

The "Ebony Blade" can be obtained through the Daedric quest called "Whispering Door." The quest initiates after completing the "Dragon Rising" challenge. The first to do is go to Whiterun's The Bannered Mare. While there, ask Hulda (The barkeep) if he has been "hearing any rumors" lately.

She will start talking about strange tales about the Jarl's children. The conversation will start a miscellaneous quest about Balgruuf's children. Players need to go to Dragonsreach to ask the Jarl regarding trouble with his kids. He'll then tell you that his youngest son is becoming violent. This conversation will start the "Whispering Door" quest and will prompt players to look for Nelkir, Balgruuf's youngest son.

After speaking with Nelkir, he will say that a whispering lady is bothering him. He will tell you to proceed to the whispering door that can be found at Dragonsreach's basement.

In the basement, players who have found the door will hear Mephala talking about a hidden weapon. Afterwards, ask Nelkir about the people who can open the door. He'll tell that only Balgruuf and Farengar the court wizard can unlock it.

The quest will then prompt players to find Farengar and steal the whispering door key. The easiest way to steal it is by waiting for the court wizard to fall asleep. After stealing the key, proceed to unlock the door. Inside, the players can get the "Ebony Blade."

Mephala will then talk about the weapon not bearing its original powers. To fully grasp the power of the blade, players must kill 10 friendly NPCs.

NPC characters will greet youwith phrases like "You've been a friend to me," and "Have a nice day" usually are your friends. It might sound awful, but you have to sacrifice 10 of them to achieve the two-handed weapon's power.

The cool thing about this quest is finding Mephala talk after each kill. The weapon has a damage rating of 11, a speed rating of 1 and a reach of 1.3. It is valued at 2000 and has a weight of 10. The weapon cannot be upgraded, though, but it does have a cool enchantment that can absorb 10 to 30 life points.
