The latest "Overwatch" update includes some radical characters PTR overhauls, a new Doomfist reveal and some patch notes.
A hawk-eyed Redditor known as Venxa has discovered new proof that suggests "Overwatch" Doomfist release date is just around the corner. The huge fanbase of Blizzard Entertainment's hit first-person shooter on Reddit has ferreted out 136 new models including a 3D model which shows the glass around Doomfist's case is shattered.
It's worth noting that these models are currently encoded, making it quite difficult to figure out what exactly they are. As expected, this stirred conversations among some optimistic fans who now believe that Doomfist could soon make an appearance on "Overwatch" character roster.
Actor Terry Crews is reportedly gearing up to fill the role and has been trying to gather support among loyal "Overwatch" fans in a bid to make this come to fruition. While it's unclear whether or not he is been roped in for the role, a recently surfaced video shows Crews auditioning for it. Taking the fact that the voice acting is top-level into consideration, it won't be surprising if more new teasers hinting at his eventual appointment surfaces online in near future.
Not too long ago, Crews solicited votes on Twitter from those who wanted him to lend his voice for Doomfist. The tweet was liked by a considerable number of fans - about 17,000 -- but Blizzard seems to be in no mood to either confirm or deny these speculations.
As far as Doomfist's speculated entry in the "Overwatch" character roster is concerned, this mysterious character was never the game developer's first choice for a big role; however, the positive feedbacks it garnered seem to have prompted the team to bring him to the game.
The newest "Overwatch" Patch Notes for the latest PTR update, shared by Express, seems to confirm a few imminent changes to one of the game's defense characters, Bastion. There's word floating around online indicating that a new "Overwatch" patch will be available for testing on the Public Test Region.
Players should bear in mind that currently, the PTR servers are only accessible on PC; however, PS4 and Xbox One versions are likely to follow suit in near future. One of the most comprehensive changes that fans will discover is the new Capture the Flag mode, which has permanently been added from its Year of the Rooster streak.
Moreover, Bastion is also slated to undergo a radical revamp that will make him more flexible and stronger. Let's take a gander at the hero updates for Bastion:
