The 24th hero of "Overwatch" has stirred conversations among the huge fanbase of Blizzard Entertainment's hit first-person shooter video game.
A few hawk-eyed fans foraged IMDB for more clues of the long-rumored "Hero 24," now believed not to be Doomfist, voiced by "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star, Terry Crews. Nevertheless, there's hearsay that the character will be an Ilios native.
Actor Alex Malaos was quick to remove the reference from his personal website; however, the Wayback Machine didn't miss anything -- including the deleted details. Apparently, Malaos has been credited for an unnamed "Greek" character, directly related to "Overwatch" work on behalf of the game developer.
Moreover, Curse Entertainment too has sneaking suspicion as far as the Grecian references spotted all over the game are concerned. Although Doomfist may not be the highly anticipated Hero 24 as reported by PVPLive, "Overwatch" fans can still look forward to an impending arrival of Hero 24.
In other news, game director Jeff Kaplan has shed light on the characters and the team's decision to dump a few features to get them out on schedule. These details arrive just ahead of "Overwatch" Season 3 end date.
Fans have already been notified about "Overwatch" Season 3's looming end date, but much to their dismay, it looks like the Season 4 is still unconfirmed as far as format is concerned, Express reported.
Winding up the current run of competitive play, the "Overwatch" Season 3 is slated to conclude on Tuesday, Feb. 22 in the UK. Season 3 will officially come to an end on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 4:00 p.m. PST (or Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 00:00 GMT).
According to Blizzard, "Overwatch" Season 4 will kick off one week later i.e. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 4:00 p.m. PST (or Wednesday, March 1 at 00:00 GMT). However, the studio opted to remain tight-lipped regarding their new plans for Season 4 except for Jeff Kaplan confirming that it will come with new tweaks.
