Blizzard Entertainment buried hints regarding Sombra into a map dubbed Dorado, a fictitious town in Mexico while placing clues about Anna Amari into another map around the same time leading "Overwatch" fans to believe that the two were actually a single character. Although the rumors and clues surrounding Doomfist are yet to reach that proportion, the hype around the character is certainly gaining momentum.

In a recently rolled out video footage, YouTube channel Arekkz Gaming delves into a slew of Doomfist hints discovered by some hawk-eyed gamers on the PTR (Public Test Realm), the most noteworthy reference being a Numbani Payload model represented by a wire mesh file. Interestingly, the glass on the payload comprising Doomfist's gauntlet is shattered. It's worth noting that the said gauntlet bears a striking resemblance to the model teased in "Overwatch's" cinematic trailer back in 2014.

Aside from that, the menu music in the PTR which "Overwatch" fans were first treated to in the said trailer has now been modified to Doomfist's theme. Some data-mining endeavors led "Overwatch" fans to further believe that the new music is indeed, Doomfist's theme. Also, the Hero Gallery UI has been somewhat modified to pave the way for another Hero card, according to VG247.

With Overwatch's currently-running Year of the Rooster event nearing a close on Feb. 13 and taking the fact that these map changes are likely to surface before cinematic shorts into consideration, Arekkz suggests that the game publisher might spill the beans about Doomfist sooner rather than later.

Moreover, since Blizzard has repeatedly debunked speculations surrounding Overwatch Valentine's Day event, fans now hazard a guess that Doomfist might be unveiled on Feb. 14. However, the team behind the game has neither confirmed nor denied this, GameRant reported.

Actor Terry Crews added more fuel to the already burning rumor about Doomfist's imminent arrival when he took to his Twitter to ask his followers on the social networking website if they would like him to lend his voice for Doomfist. His tweet garnered a considerable number of likes; however, it's still not officially confirmed if Crews will be the voice of Doomfist.

But that didn't seem to stop Crews, who went as far as teasing his role as Doomfist by doing a mock Doomfist audition. Joining "Overwatch's" huge fanbase that supports Crews, Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson too fully supports the athlete-turned-actor taking the role of Doomfist.
