"Diablo 3" received patch notes 2.5.0 for Public Test Realm (PTR) on Feb. 7 and it offers many new items and improvements in game modes and more. However, there is one thing that the game's community did not like and this is the Primal Ancients add-on.

Based on the details on the latest "Diablo 3" PTR patch notes, under the Primal Ancient Items, the set and legendary items now have a chance to roll as Primal Ancients. These items have an expanded stat limit and more uncommon compared to Ancient items.

Blizzard probably did not expect it but gamers reacted negatively to this update. They aired their dissatisfaction on the comment section of the patch announcement and on the game's forums.

Some of the comments left by "Diablo 3" players include "Primal Ancients? Really?

Let's just add more RNG on top of this already terrible RNG fest" while another player stated that the Armory and Bounty improvements are cool but the Primal Ancient items is just an added random number generator.

One gamer also posted that he despised ancients since they were introduced because aside from increasing the numbers, it really does not do anything else for the game. He further said that he could not believe how low Blizzard can go just to keep the game going.

Nevertheless, there are those players who also find the "Diablo 3" Primal Ancient Items to be a fine addition. They think that there is nothing wrong with it and point to the bad RNG as the real culprit of the issues mentioned by players who do not agree with the Primal Ancients.

Defending the add-on, a Redditor wrote, "I know there is a problem with the RNG side of it, but that is not primal ancients fault, just the numbers. Once they tweak the numbers just a bit they will be perfect IMO."

Finally, the "Diablo 3" PTR Patch 2.5.0 is not the final version of the update. Since this is the case and there could be some changes later, it is not certain if the Primal Ancients will make it to the final cut and into the main game.
