Game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has already announced that it will be making its "FIFA" game for the Nintendo Switch. Now, the game publisher has just confirmed that the version it will be launching for the new Nintendo hybrid video game console will be the upcoming "FIFA 18."
EA has announced that it will be launching its "FIFA" video game to the Nintendo hybrid video game console during the Nintendo Switch press event. However, the game publisher did not reveal as to what "FIFA" version will be launched for the hybrid console.
Gaming enthisiasts believed back then that the Nintendo Switch "FIFA" edition would be based on much earlier editions released for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. When reached for comments, Peter Moore, EA's Chief Competition Officer, merely said that the game will be custom built for the Nintendo Switch.
In a recent interview with Gamereactor, Moore revealed that the Nintendo Switch "FIFA" edition will be its upcoming "FIFA 18." In the interview done at a "FIFA" event held in Paris, Moore also reiterated that the video game publisher is custom-building the game for the Nintendo hybrid console.
When asked if the Nintendo Switch "FIFA 18" will be a slimmed down version of the game that will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One, Moore answered that the game that the Nintendo Switch "FIFA 18" is a custom built version from their Vancouver development team. Moore also denied the reports that a Nintendo Switch "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be released. The EA CCO emphasized that the only confirmed EA title for the Switch so far is "FIFA."
The Nintendo Switch will officially be released for shipping on March 3. The collaboration between EA and Nintendo would be the first since the game publisher turned its back on the Wii U. The "FIFA 18" Nintendo Switch release date is expected to be in September.
