Nokia was once the biggest and the most well-known mobile phone manufacturer, but later on packed-up its mobile game and sold its business to Microsoft. Now, the Finnish company is ready to join the race again. With Android on board, this could well be the comeback everyone's been waiting for.
Nokia Budget Phones For 2017
The Nokia DC 1 is an incoming budget smartphone priced at below $150. According to News 18, while this name hasn't been confirmed yet, the unit is said to have a 5.5-inch display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is expected to sport a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front-snapper.
Another device that's expected to be priced under $180 and could sport either a 5-inch or 5.5-inch display with 720 pixel resolution is the Nokia E1. It's likely to come with features, such as 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, a 2GB RAM, a 13MP main cameraand a 5MP front-cam.
Nokia 6, meanwhile, has already come to China but is yet to be released in India and, perhaps, the global market. This model features a 5.5-inch full HD screen with a 1080x1920 resolution, a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, an Android 7.0 Nougat OS, a 4GB RA and a 64GB internal memory that's expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
It also has a 16MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, dual-LED flash, 1.0µm pixel size, HDR, face recognition, an 8MP rear-cam with f/2.0 aperture. Other features include a 1.12µm pixel sizeand a 3000mAh battery. The device is priced at around $246.
Nokia's Mid-Range To High-End Phones
With regard to mid-range to high-end models, there are speculations that the Nokia 8 will be unveiled at the upcoming MWC, which kicks off in February 26. Nokia 8 is said to come in two versions, one with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and a 6GB RAM, and the other with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and a 4GB RAM.
The devices are to share features like a whopping 24MP main camera with Carl Zeiss optics, OIS and EIS, and a 12MP selfie camera. The expected price is around $450.
Rounding up the five is the Nokia P1. Nothing much has been heard about the device but reports that have circulated claim that it could be announced at MWC 2017. So far, the price is expected to be around $800 to $900. Allegedly, it will come with features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a 6GB RAM and a 23MP main camera, writes IBT.
