Kojima Productions, founded and headed by legendary developer Hideo Kojima, is now making it's first game: "Death Stranding." Although the game has remained a mystery, answers to fans' many questions have started to appear. This time around, the mystery to Guillermo del Toro's contribution to the game has been answered.

"Death Stranding" stars actors Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen; but also, Guillermo del Toro. He is also a character in the game. In fact, he was already on the second teaser of "Death Stranding," starring Mikkelsen.

But, apart from being a character, what else will the director contribute? Hideo Kojima and the director have already worked together for "Silent Hill." That said, fans are looking for another collaboration between the two. Guillermo del Toro is pretty much well-known for creating the most terrifying and memorable creatures on films. Will he also create one for Hideo Kojima's "Death Stranding?"

"I'm involved as a character. Kojima-san called me and said, 'I want you to be a character in the game,' and I said, 'Gladly,'" del Toro said in an interview with IGN. "He's discussed his ideas so I could understand the character, but other than that I'm not involved, creatively, at all."

Sure enough, some fans were disappointed. Nonetheless, even if some were hoping, it seems like del Toro will only be a voice and a character for "Death Stranding" and nothing more.

According to Game Rant, the director has also mentioned that he has been "scanned for a long time." This has led others to believe that the director will play a big part in "Death Stranding." However, this could also mean that the scanning for his character could really take a while.

As of thi writing, there is no news as to when "Death Stranding" will likely be released. However, the game will be a PS4 exclusive.
