"Dragon Ball Super's" newest story arc is just days away from being unraveled as the excitement builds up among avid "DBS" fans that are already hyped for the entry.
Bearing the 'Universal Survival' moniker, the upcoming story arc will witness an epic showdown featuring Goku, who, accompanied by other Universe 7 fighters will go toe-to-toe against other warriors in a colossal martial arts tournament.
Trotted out as the most action-packed sagas to ever hit "Dragon Ball Super," the 'Universal Survival' arc will be hosted by Zen-Oh. And, thanks to recently surfaced reports, fans can finally catch a brief glimpse of the place where these barbarous battles will be taking place.
Akira Toriyama unveiled artwork from the upcoming saga in the latest issue of Shueisha's V-Jump Magazine (via ComicBook). In one of the pictures, the 'Universal Survival' arena can be seen.
The translated caption from Dragon Ball Park Monthly's section in V-Jump magazine alludes to the Survival Stadium as the place where the battles will be taking place. The stadium has a bizarre shape bearing a striking resemblance to a spinning top. The center stage is the clock pillar, which is surrounded by spectator benches. Not too far away from there, the Omni-King's throne can be seen.
Interestingly, the arena seems to be in the middle of space, giving an appearance of a floating spinning top. It has benches that are set around the place for people to watch. Zen-Oh's throne is seen floating on the left side. Probably, the idea behind using a floating throne is to get an all-encompassing view of the battles.
The overseers have the final word when it comes to whether or not to destroy the losing warrior's universe. "Dragon Ball Super's" story arc kicks off next month with 'Universal Survival' saga.
Meanwhile, an anime preview of "Dragon Ball Super's" upcoming 'Universal Survival' arc released by Fuji TV gave "DBS" fans the first peek at a female warrior. The preview shows a svelte young woman donning a crop, transform into a Super Saiyan. The affair raised quite a few eyebrows as the woman transformed into someone that looked like a Female Broly.
Pan, the daughter of Videl and Gohan has been among other females in Dragon Ball who sustained Saiyan blood; however, she does not have the ability to go Super Saiyan until now. Gine is the other female Saiyan who has not undergone any Super Saiyan transformation until now. There is one female character capable of going Super Saiyan but she is not considered canon due to her video game roots.
If this proves to be true, "Dragon Ball Super" will be bringing in a complete female Super Saiyan who is not only strong but also considered canon.
