Ubisoft is releasing Update 1.6 for its shooting game "The Division" along with the release of its third paid expansion Last Stand and the company detailed the changes. It said that it has brought a number of most significant modifications to the game since it was released in March 2016.
Expansion III: Last Stand adds a 'dedicated, separate player combat arena' where the battles against players in PvP have been offered a more structured way compared to the more open-ended style of gameplay that the Dark Zone provides. "Last Stand is session based and features clear objectives and win conditions, while still incorporating aspects of the Dark Zone such as PvE enemies and Landmarks," according to "The Division" official site.
The opening of a new era is the most important in the northern parts of the PvP and PvE Dark Zone where Dark Zone 7, 8 and 9 become available and Ubisoft described these areas as ‘especially dire with a couple of surprises'. The new spaces that include vertical and underground arenas have nearly doubled the total size of the Dark Zone at the moment where "The Division" players can now insta-travel all over the map.
The Update 1.6 that will soon introduce balance changes with the release of the expansion will serve as an important part of revitalizing player combat in "The Division." Last Stand will be released simultaneously across PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One and will be part of the Season Pass or a standalone purchase, according to IGN.
Furthermore, clearing Landmarks will add loot in the player's inventory automatically where physical extraction will no longer be needed. New hourly Contamination Events are also added alongside Leaderboards with rewards in "The Division."
More additions include a Legendary difficulty setting, exotic items and new gear, changes to previous gear sets, a tweak to armor and health balance, skill balance changes, decrease in hip fire stability and unlimited weapons calibration. According to Polygon, the new update would be free to all "The Division" players on all platforms.
