Yesterday, Valve has announced the top most grossing PC games on Steam in 2016 with four categories based on how the games were sold. The categories are Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

According to PC Gamer, Valve has 100 best-selling Steam games of 2016 where six of these games are on sale as an extension of Steam winter sale. The games that are selling at this time are shown in the Top Sellers section of Steam.

GameSpot reports that "DOTA 2," which is a free to play game is part of the Platinum games category along with "The Division," "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," "Grand Theft Auto V," "Civilization VI," "Fallout 4" and "No Man's Sky." Furthermore, Steam's annual winter sale ends Jan. 2 at 10 AM PT and 1 PM ET.

"Rainbow Six Siege" and "Warframe" are both in the top 24 although "Doom" didn't make it to the top 12 but it sits between 13th and 24th on the list. Although "Watch Dogs 2" has had concerns with its sales, it was still one of the 25th - 40th top grossing games on Steam alongside "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" and "Far Cry Primal."

Most of these games are on sale with between 10 and 75 percent off although Valve hasn't announced yet as to when this sale ends but fans may have to watch out for this since Steam winter sale ends Jan. 2.

Additionally, the games that have the highest discounts are "Ark: Survival Evolved" with ($12, 60% off), "Dark Souls 3" with ($30, 50% off), "Subnautica" with ($10, 50% off) and "Kerbal Space Program" with ($13.59, 66% off).
