The Xbox One is bound to have some updates given to it soon, with Microsoft finally attempting to solve one of the most unappealing factors for the particular console -- speed. Microsoft has been asked to make a move on this and it seems the company has listened.
A concern that many Xbox One users forwarded is the dashboard experience, which reportedly takes the enjoyment out of the game. The promise of Kinect making the controls for the Xbox One easier seem to not have been fulfilled -- in fact, it made things a lot harder for the users.
As per The Verge, Mike Ybarra, head of platform engineering for Xbox, disclosed that there will be solutions to the Xbox One speed problems soon enough. "Every Xbox One unit will see an update coming to the Guide that will make it faster to complete common tasks. Through one press of the button on your controller, you'll be able to pull up the newly enhanced Guide as an overlay on the left side of your screen, no matter what you're doing." he noted. He also mentioned that the company will be establishing more useful multitasking traits on top of the said move.
In addition, Express reports that fans will be permitted to record their GameDVR clips, as well as tune the length of their records and access player captures straight from the Guide. Things do not end there as a new Achievement tracking overlay is about to be given, together with a Gamerscore Leaderboard, fresh Cortana design and full control over background music, allowing such features to be used easier.
As mentioned, Microsoft has yet to disclose when the coming changes will take place. It is presumed that these will arrive at roughly the same time the Creators Update hits the Windows 10 system in April.
