Microsoft plans to end 2016 with a final sale for Xbox One and Xbox One S. At no extra cost, you can get a wireless controller, stereo headset or a game of your choice.
Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire editor in chief, writes that Microsoft is excited to offer another promotion that will run from December 25 to 31. The Christmas sale for Xbox One will be available at most major outlets in the U.S. Each retailer will have different gift options.
Best Buy, Amazon or Walmart offer a free wireless controller for every purchase of Xbox One or Xbox One S. GameStop gives a free stereo headset, either in black or white. If you want a free game, purchase your game console at Target or Microsoft Stores.
Some retailers also offer a special online-only deal for a gift card worth $50 on top of the gifts mentioned. For a limited time, MicrosoftStore.com offers two free games plus the $50 gift card for every purchase of Xbox One S.
For Xbox One, there are two special edition bundles to choose from. One is the 500GB Special Edition "Quantum Break" Bundle, which includes the Cirrus White console and controller and full game download of "Alan Wake" with two additional episodes. The other is the 500GB Special Edition "Gears of War" Bundle, which also features the Cirrus White console and controller, plus a full game download of "Ultimate Edition." You can also get hold of the Superstar Cole multiplayer skin and an early access to "Gears of War" beta. You can also get the Xbox 360 "Gears of War" collection to play on Xbox One for free when you play on Xbox Live.
Microsoft also gives you special edition bundles of Xbox One S games like "Battlefield 1" and "Gears of War 4." With this final sale event, this might be the best time to buy an Xbox One game console.
