Snapchat Spectacles are one of the coolest and trendiest gadgets that have been launched this year. Many would love to have this eyewear for Christmas but it is not so easy to purchase a pair.

Snapchat has decided to put up a vending machine called Snapbots in different locations but that does not mean customers will not fall in long queues before they can get their hands on the glasses. Instead of a mass roll out during the holiday season, the company decided to put up roaming machines across the country. Each machine has only a limited number of the $130 glasses.

Snapchat Spectacles will allow users to record videos and upload directly to social platforms. Besides its convenience and accessibility, these cool shades look spectacular and fun to sport around. Snapchat is making more noise among the younger demographic because it operates differently than other social media apps like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

It is not the first company to launch this kind of spectacles, however. Google Glass came out with the concept first and is observed to be more innovative and advanced. However, because of its extension from the popular Snapchat app, it is becoming more popular than Google Glass.

The cheapest, but the perhaps the hardest, way to buy Snapchat Spectacles is to be on the lookout for the Snapbot vending machine. It is placed on a new location every 48 hours, so fans have to constantly check the website for the latest update.

Another option is to visit the nearest Rochester Optical and have your prescription lenses customized with the Snapchat Spectacle. The price ranges from $29 to $199, depending on the complexity of the lenses. Single-standard vision lens are the cheapest, followed by the high-index lens. Polarized lenses are the most expensive. Rochester Optical has also customized lenses for Google Glass and Microsoft HoloLens.
