After all the controversies surrounding the game, being rejected by Apple a year ago, "The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth" finally found its way to the App store, according to a report by BGR.
The game has already been ported for Xbox One, Wii U, PS4 , Vita and Nintendo 3DS back in 2014. With no changes made to its dark theme, the game is finally approved to go on sale on the App Store.
The developers claim gamers can play 500 hours out of the game, hundreds of items to collect, hundreds of enemies to defeat as each run will generate random environment to explore.
The popular roguelike shooter game was developed by Edmund McMillen, the creator of "Super Meat Boy," according to a report by Euro Gamer. This port however, doesn't include the Afterbirth or Afterbirth+ add-on content. The game was initially rejected by Apple due to its depiction of violence against children.
This game was inspired by a biblical tale with the games protagonist, Isaac, fled from his evil mother and encounters chains of randomly generated dungeons. Even without the additional content, this game has a very high replay value as you finish the game for the first time, there will be more to unlock overtime; New levels, new bosses, new endings that you can try to complete.
Using the touchscreen is not the optimal way of playing this game as it has game controller support. This could be very well the only game you will only play this year considering how much time you would need to spend to master it and then unlocking more levels to see and play.
The game is available now on the App Store for $14.99.
