In a new report by Entertainment Weekly, CW President Mark Pedowitz described the series finale of the hit TV drama about the vampires of Mystic Falls as "fantastic" in an interview during the Television Critics Association's press tour held on Sunday. However, he still cannot confirm whether or not actress Dobrev is set to return before the show wraps up.
The "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" actress has made the headline in the past months because of her controversial return on "The Vampire Diaries Season 8." Her reappearance in the show is yet to be confirmed even after high anticipation from fans.
Moreover, "TVD" EP Plec already made it clear that the actress expressed that she is open to coming back and see her character's end in the finale of the series. Despite all the early assumptions that Elena Gilbert might be returning to Mystic Falls, Dobrev hasn't given an official yes or no as of this posting.
Meanwhile, another "TVD" actress Kat Graham who gives life to Bonnie Bennett, opened up to The Huffington Post about how she feels about ending the series. She revealed that her character helped her to be her own person and now that "The Vampire Diaries Season 8" is near conclusion, she said that she will miss her co-stars in the show.
Bonnie is known as Elena's best friend, a former simple and normal school girl who turned to be a very strong and powerful witch. She is one of the main characters of "TVD" but she doesn't know how the story would end yet.
Graham confirmed that the cast has not finished filming the final episodes of the show's final season at the time of her interview with The Huffington Post. For this reason, she cannot give hints to what's waiting for fans when the show ends.
