"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 will return this year to pick up with some major cliffhangers left in the midseason finale, including Alex Karev's (Justin Chambers) prison sentence. However, it seems that the show will be veering away from Alex for a little as it shifts focus on Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) and Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington). Apparently, the three doctors will have to go behind bars for a delicate case involving a pregnant teenager.
Fans of "Grey's Anatomy" may be waiting for the series to reveal the fate of Alex following Andrew DeLuca's (Giacomo Gianniotti) assault. The first half of the current season failed to give a conclusion to this part of the show. That said, the midseason premiere of the long-running medical drama is expected to drop his final verdict.
However, reports about the upcoming episode is not directed to Alex' fate. As per the synopsis of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 episode 10 from ABC's press release posted by Moviefone, the Grey Sloan doctors will have to perform their duties inside a maximum security women's prison. No hints about Alex and where he is going was revealed.
Arizona, Jo and Miranda will reportedly attend to a violent 16-year-old girl and the baby inside her womb. Hopefully, the doctors of Grey Sloan will successfully find a way to alleviate the girl's condition and help her unborn child. Entitled "You Can Look (But You'd Better Not Touch)," the new episode is creepy, exciting and provocative according to actress Capshaw.
In a previous interview by TV Line, Capshaw revealed that the procedure they have to execute inside the women's prison is just simple. However, the actress was terrified by the script, reportedly. It remains to be seen how dangerous or violent the girl is but performing inside a maximum security facility is already as frightening as it can be, isn't it?
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 episode 10 air date is set on Jan. 19. In the meantime, check out the trailer below. Also, let us know what you think about the midseason premiere synopsis of "Grey's Anatomy" in our comments box.
