"The 100" Season 4 will see its major characters face more difficulties because another doomsday is forthcoming. Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the remaining people are expected to meet obstacles, romances, new character and more dilemmas as they prepare for another end of the world. Some relevant information about what's waiting for fans when the post-apocalyptic drama returns this year can be found below.

A.L.I.E.'s (Erica Cerra) death may be a victory for Clarke but the end is just about to begin. As per TV Line, Executive Producer Jason Rothenberg revealed that the characters will have to deal with the fact that they are all going to die in the next six months. Caused by the meltdown of power plants around the world, EP Rothenberg referred to the apocalypse as a nuclear death wave.

It remains to be seen how people could survive the imminent doomsday but to make things more complicated, Clarke is set to meet a new character called Ilian (Chai Romruen) who is one of the Grounders. Believing that people from the Ark are the ones to blame for bringing the latest technology that caused massive destruction in their lives, Ilian may not be so friendly with the Sky People. In a report from Entertainment Weekly, Rothenberg explained that Ilian is determined not to let new technology control him again because of his past experience caused by A.L.I.E.

For the lighter side of things, "The 100" Season 4 will also see new romances, reportedly. Rothenberg hinted that such romances will fruit from those that have already started in the previous episodes and there will also be a blooming relationship that fans will see for the first time this season. As for what awaits their love stories, the executive producer teased that not all of them will see a happy ending.
