The Huawei Honor 6X has all the specs and features capable of taking down rival Motorola Moto G4. These budget smartphones are a good deal for the cost-conscious and those looking for a second casual phone. In the US, the Honor 6X is available at Amazon, BestBuy and Honor's official site. It is available for $200 in the US after a $50 rebate. The Honor 6X was quietly announced in China. It has two rear cameras hardly present in a budget phone.

The Huawei Honor 6X has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a planned upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor and Mali-T830MP2 GPU. In comparison, the 5.5-inch Motorola Moto G4 also has a similar touchscreen and screen resolution. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Both are dual-SIM handsets.

The Moto G4 is powered by a Snapdragon 617 chipset and Adreno 405 GPU. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a planned upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. It is available in 16/32GB version with a 2GB RAM whereas the Huawei Honor 6X handset is available in 32GB and 64GB versions with 3GB and 4GB RAM respectively. Both come with microSD card slot with expandable memory up to 256GB.

The Huawei Honor 6X handset has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is missing in the Motorola Moto G4 handset. While the former is charged up by a 3,340 mAh battery, the latter has a 3,000 mAh battery. Both have fast charging capabilities. In terms of camera specs, the Motorola Moto G4 has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0, autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. The front camera is of 5MP, reviews GSMArena.

The Huawei Honor 6X handset has a Dual 12 MP + 2 MP rear cameras with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. The front camera is of 8MP. Both the Honor 6X and Motorola Moto G4 have their usual hardware trade-offs that are common in budget smartphones.
