"ARK: Survival Evolved" continues to dazzle fans alike all over the world; and the same can said for the team behind the successful title. With other variations of the content taking control of the gaming community, the question on what comes next has stepped forward.
Studio Wildcard's lead programmer and co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz divulged in an interview recently what he thinks of the moves made by the company, most especially with player mods. Stieglitz admits that he has a favorite feature added to the game for the PC.
According to Express, Stieglitz says that he finds the ability of players to build based on dinosaurs quite appealing and silly at the same time, though it gives a whole new means of strategic advantage. It allows players to live primitively and roam the Island with "style." It was also quite a massive change, according to Stieglitz, more so that they had to get the physics and calculations right, despite its complexity.
Other than that, spin-offs are apparently a strong point for "ARK: Survival Evolved;" in particular, "Survival of the Fittest." However, some moves by Studio Wildcard may be more of a plague than a blessing, such as the Swamp Fever that went across the Island in 2016. This caused an infection that can be transmitted through touch, affecting stats heavily -- and Studio Wildcard had to do something about it. Stieglitz admitted that it was catastrophic for players and they had to tone it down.
The tamed dinosaurs needing to be nerfed are also a concern in "ARK: Survival Evolved." Stieglitz said that the creatures are still too strong and they need to balance things slowly.
"ARK: Survival Evolved" enables players to live through a civilization with prehistoric creatures and the like, interacting and commanding as pleased. Studio Wildcard released multiple patch notes along the way. According to Stieglitz, there will be more in the future. As per the official site, the game "Survival of the Fittest" is the multiplayer online survival arena version of the franchise.
