"Street Fighter V" may have taken the world of gaming by storm as soon as it launched. However, the scope as to which the Capcom fighting game has appeared does not seem to be limited to those in the community alone.
The "Street Fighter" franchise is one of the most popular games ever made; capturing the attention of many players worldwide. According to recent news from Event Hubs, "Street Fighter V" was featured on "Timeless," a sci-fi television show on NBC. It follows the story of a history teacher, a scientist and a soldier who aim to stop a culprit from reforming American history. Having aired back in October 2016, the show is rather fresh but is already a popular program to note.
"Street Fighter V" was spotted in the episode" The Capture of Benedict Arnold," wherein two protagonists were seen squaring off. Despite not being an actor or celebrity to cameo, "Street Fighter" fans may have been amused to see their fighting game being recognized at least for a few moments on mainstream media.
In other related news, it was revealed that Birdie is now able to punish misplaced sweeps, as noted in a clip posted on Twitter. Being one of the buffed characters in Season 2, Birdie has been confirmed as being able to punish the likes of Juri's sweep with a combo from st. MP and cr. HP. It was also said that this does not only work for Juri, but for all characters as well. This may spell bad news for those on the receiving end of it.
"Street Fighter V" is the latest Capcom version for the long-running franchise. Sadly, it was also affirmed that there will not be "Super Street Fighter V" in the near future, as previous reports delivered.
